LOS ANGELES, CA — Las Vegas Aces veteran star Angel McCoughtry suffered a serious right knee injury during the team’s final preseason game in Los Angeles against the Sparks on Saturday afternoon. McCoughtry grabbed a rebound and landed awkwardly on the court in the first quarter. She was carries off in noticeable pain, however she returned to the sidelines in a wheelchair as a member of the training staff held her crutches.
“No update on Angel McCoughtry, but it doesn’t look like it’s very good news for us at the moment,” Aces head coach Bill Laimbeer said. “We’ll find out the next couple of days. But it is what it is. Keep on trucking.”
McCoughtry suffered a left knee injury during the 2018 season that sidelined her for the entire 2019 season. More updates to follow.
