LAS VEGAS — Las Vegas Aces forward A’ja Wilson continues to assert her dominance in the WNBA, securing her sixth Western Conference Player of the Week award this season and the 22nd of her career. With averages of 23 points, 11.3 rebounds, two assists, and 1.8 blocks per game from September 9-19, she led the Aces to a perfect 4-0 record. Her incredible season positions her as the front-runner for the 2024 MVP award, as she tops the league in scoring (26.9 ppg), blocked shots (2.6 ppg) and ranks second in rebounding (11.9 rpg).

Wilson’s consistency shines as she earns her fourth Player of the Month honor in 2024, tying her with Tina Charles for the most in league history (12). Notably, she became the first WNBA player to lead the league in points, rebounds, and blocks in the same season—a feat never achieved in the NBA since the league tracked players’ blocks.

Her September performances were stellar, with averages of 26.1 points, 12 rebounds, 1.9 blocks, on 51% shooting. Her exceptional performance was a key factor in leading the Aces to a 7-0 record in games she played, highlighting her significant influence on the team’s success. Wilson is also the first Player to average 25 points and 10 rebounds for five consecutive months.

This historic season solidifies her place among the all-time greats in the WNBA.
