MALIBU, CA – On a breezy yet beautiful sunny day on the campus of Pepperdine University, with the ocean serving as the background, Milwaukee Brewers Christian Yelich and Ryan Braun served as the host of the second annual California Strong event.
Many attended not only gave their time but efforts for a great cause, as all monies raised went directly to the families impacted by 2018’s Thousand Oaks shooting along with the Southern and Northern California wildfires. Yelich, Braun, and Mike Moustakas wanted to make the message clear that they didn’t forget about those affected in their communities.
The celebrity softball game was a success as many showed up that included, Jaime Foxx, Paula Patton, Cody Bellinger (Dodgers), Joc Pederson (Dodgers), Adam Sandler (Uncut Gems), Rob Lowe, Tiffany Haddish (Like A Boss), Matt Barnes (All the Smoke Show), Chuck Lidell, Charlie Sheen, Robin Thicke, Giocarlo Stanton (Yankees), Lewis Howes (School of Greatness Podcast), King Bach, Jared Goff (LA Rams), Alex Rodriguez (FOX Sports), and many more.
The game was more than just a bunch of celebrities playing and raising money, it was about a community that continues to be affected, came together to enjoy themselves for a good cause.
