LOS ANGELES, CA — A new must-see documentary film about income inequality in the United States and the tragic destabilizing effects of Americans is set to premiere in New York and Los Angeles entitled Americonned.
The film directed by Sean Claffey takes an in-depth look at the inequality has led to radicalization at every level of society, and this powerful documentary depicts what happens when America hits its tipping point by looking back through our history at similar critical moments of instability. The essence of labor movement of the past was born in trying current times, while restoring the path to the middle class that continues to suffer without their voices to be heard by the one percent society.
Another amazing fact that is shown in the documentary film, is that 47 percent of American workers are at high risk of losing their jobs to automation by the 2030’s, another blow to the endangered middle class and working class employees. Chris Smalls leads a movement to unionize Amazon workers for the first time, since the company terminated Smalls for raising awareness for workers’ rights.
There has been an upward redistribution of over $50 trillion from the bottom 90 percent to the top 1 percent over the past 40 years in the United States. Politicians on both sides of the aisle have created a protection racket for the rich, as the corporations appear to be deliberately crushing unions.
The film has a running time of 96 minutes and produced by Shine The Light Films. The film will be a video on demand release on June 9 in New York, Los Angeles, and selected major cities. It will also be released on other streaming platforms on June 13 in the U.S. and Canada.
