LOS ANGELES — After the Carolina Panthers released veteran quarterback Cam Newton, he vowed to show the world that he still belongs in the NFL as a prime starter. The Panthers signed Teddy Bridgewater to a 3-year/ $63 million deal, while Newton is seeking out other teams who are in line for a quarterback this season.
Newton passed all physicals and was given a clean bill of health approximately two weeks ago in Atlanta according to ESPN’s Adam Schefter.
Ironically, Chargers quarterback Tyrod Taylor posted a photo via his Instagram of him and Newton working out together.
