The film stars leading actress Karen Pittman (Detroit), Joyful Drake (Let’s Stay Together), Erica Ash (Survivor’s Remorse), and Lance Gross (Our Family Wedding). A group of girlfriends find themselves at a crossroads of discovery, love, and a need for travel. Gross, who is known for being a tender-hearted husband on and off the screen, will play the role of Andre, the love interest of Ash’s character Ressa, a military vet, influencer, and yoga enthusiast. The lead actress of the film Pittman (Allison) is a thrill-seeking poet and teacher finding herself at the intersection of romance, transition, and friendship. Drake (Melina) will round out the cast as a chef, survivor, and business woman.

The amazing backdrops in the film is what brings this story to life as three beautiful black women are permitted to experience and explore the romantic city of Tuscany, Italy through a refreshing lens. Directed by the brilliant Terri J. Vaughn, black women will also have the luxury of seeing themselves living a “soft life” on television on a network that has not always targeted black viewers.

Unthinkably Good Things reminds us that black women can work through their complexities gracefully and depend on the foundation of sisterhood when things get bleak. Black women don’t always have to pivot from a place of trauma. Similar to any other race of women, we’re allowed to move forward whenever our heart desires or when a profession, location, or love encounter has simply run its course. Visibility is important as cinema continues to overflow and fuel a mass consumption to the public, which doesn’t just consist of white men and women.

Unthinkably Good Things is for little brown girls with big imaginations, and also the older brown girls who are in a healthy transition. Grab some wine and girlfriends, and get ready to leap into the next season of your life!
