CHICAGO, IL – WNBA superstar and Chicago Sky forward Candace Parker appeared on “The Daily Show” with host Trevor Noah to discuss her decision to return home to Chicago, her new podcast and much more.
“I’m just realizing now and I’ve been in this thing for fourteen years and I have a daughter and the people I’m playing with are closer to her age, so I think I’m more concerned on how my socks are and not looking like an old lady,” Parker told Noah jokingly.
She expressed how excited she is to come back to where she began her basketball career. Her family being closer to her and being able to watch her play out her career.
Parker is an outstanding analyst on Turner Sports and has a great dynamic between her, Shaquille O’Neal and Dwyane Wade on television.
“My childhood debating my brothers and being around them all the time prepared me for Turner. That’s what it’s like on set you debate and it’s a lot of yelling and screaming and that’s what it is,” Parker explained. “I told them when I came on set that I’m not trying to be one of the guys, I’m trying to be one of the players.”
