LOS ANGELES – The Los Angeles Clippers destroyed the Portland Trail Blazers 117-97 on Tuesday night at Staples Center. The Blazers defense held Kawhi Leonard to 11 points and Lou Williams to 9 points, Portland had no answer for Paul George (25 points), Montrezl Harrell (26 points), and Patrick Patterson who added 19 points and just one three-pointer shy of his career high.
Clippers defense took care of Blazers forward Carmelo Anthony who finished with 9 points and 6 rebounds, there is still tremendous amount of respect in both locker rooms as they welcomed him back to a league that he should’ve never been extracted from in the first place.
Anthony admitted he learned some things during his absence and no matter if it’s love or hate, he remains focused on being the best players while on the floor and continues to encourage his teammates.
The Clippers now head out on the road to face the Bucks in Milwaukee on Friday at 5:30PM PT.
