COSTA MESA, CA — The Chargers are one of 12 teams in the NFL that are still playing for shot at the Lombardi Trophy.

The atmosphere in the locker room is one of joy yet focus, determination and vision to accomplish their goal of winning it all at Super Bowl LIII in Atlanta on February 3.

“It’s been a long time,” Keenan Allen expressed. “It’s a lot of ups and downs with the organization, with myself, injuries and stuff like that, so just getting back on track as an organization is great.”

Over the course of the season the Bolts have thrived in hostile environments, whether that was in Pittsburgh or Kansas City.

For head coach Anthony Lynn, he not only embraces the challenge but looks to keep the same routine and focus even throughout the playoffs.

“I want to approach this game just like any other game, but understanding that it is a playoff game,” Lynn told the media. “It’s going to be a little more exciting. We’ve talked about it – different ways of handling anxiety and things like that. I just want guys to execute, focus on their fundamentals, their techniques and just execute.”

The Chargers haven’t played in a playoff game since 2013, and this is exactly the moment Lynn and team have prepared for since April. One player in particular who’s excited is RB Melvin Gordon.

“I haven’t been to a playoff game since high school. Closest thing I got to it was a bowl game in college, so I don’t know what to expect, but I’m going to prepared for whatever is to come.” – Melvin Gordon.

The Bolts are facing a Baltimore Ravens that they lost 22-10 at Stub Hub just a couple of weeks ago. The Bolts have proven this season to have played better on the road, and beyond the excitement, this team will have to execute effectively at all three phases of the ball in order to be successful on Sunday.
