LOS ANGELES — The Chargers continue to make boss moves that will bolster their roster in preparation for this coming season in their brand new home in SoFi Stadium in Inglewood. The Bolts announced on Wednesday the signing of former Denver Broncos cornerback Chris Harris Jr. 

The four time Pro Bowler signed a two-year deal worth about $20.5 million according to reports. Harris spent nine seasons with the rival Broncos and has always been on the Chargers radar every time the teams faced each other in the division. If many recall, Harris and Bolts wide receiver exchanged some heated words, but Harris maintained that there was no bad blood between the two. 

Now both players will coexist on the same team, same field and out for the same goal, which is win a Super Bowl. Harris was originally apart of the Broncos Super Bowl 50 team and the “No Fly Zone” secondary. 

Harris was one of the most sought after free agent corner by several team including the Las Vegas Raiders, but the Bolts were locked in on adding Harris. Harris will now be apart of Gus Bradley’s tenacious defense to along with that stellar secondary that includes Derwin James and Casey Hayward, this team is loaded. 

There was a specific reason(s) on why Harris chose to sign with the Chargers, as he told NFL Network on Thursday afternoon. 

The defense they [Chargers] have with Joey Bosa, Casey Hayward, Derwin James , [Melvin] Ingram just joining those guys. Also, I get join up with my original coach I had with the Broncos,” Harris said.
