LOS ANGELES — The Los Angeles Chargers released their new uniforms early Tuesday morning on the NFL Network’s “Good Morning Football” show. After weeks of anticipation for the new uniforms, defensive end Joey Bosa also appeared on the show to showcase his new number 97 jersey.
The away jerseys are white and pay homage to the AFL 50th anniversary jerseys the team wore back in 2009. The white jersey will be paired with either yellow or white pants.
“That all-white is sweet, man. Can’t go wrong with the all-white,” said Hall of Fame running back LaDainian Tomlinson.
The Bolts have expended to two different alternate jerseys, that feature their color rush uniforms with royal blue. The other uniform which is navy-blue, pays respect to the 1994 team that went to the Super Bowl.
“The all navy has always been my favorite and those are even cooler,” Bosa said on NFL Network. “I like the simple bolt, too, how it just has the yellow and the blue in it.”
Finally the home uniforms look absolutely incredible as they enhanced their powder blue jerseys from last season, and also added their old school powder blue jerseys from the 1960’s, as the team captured their first AFL championship.
With new uniforms that have the football streets buzzing, moving into SoFi Stadium in Inglewood this season, this is exactly what the team needed to usher in a new era in Los Angeles football.
