LOS ANGELES, CA — The Los Angeles Clippers showed glimpses of being in charge despite their 119-117 preseason loss against the Minnesota Timberwolves Sunday night at Crypto.com Arena.
With much of the focus on the turmoil and locker room drama of their opponents to the north in the Golden State Warriors, the Clippers are focused not only on basketball, but continuity amongst the team. What almost felt like a regular season game in terms of atmosphere, Clippers fans shouldn’t get too high or too low this early in the year.
There are some tangible things to note: John Wall fits in with the team, Kawhi Leonard appears healthy, everyone is willing to play their role, and they actually continue to gel with one another.
“We’re keeping everyone on one accord. Having fun is going to play a huge part. We have a lot of personalities on this team. Keeping the energy alive and well on this team will help us when things get tough. We’re not going to be able to fold,” Robert Covington said.
