LOS ANGELES – Thursday night at the famous Wiltern Theater in Los Angeles, Clippers chairman Steve Ballmer unveiled his vision for a new arena in Inglewood, located just south of the Rams/Chargers stadium at Hollywood Park. This arena development started a couple of years ago when meeting between the Clippers and the city of Inglewood began.
Ballmer released photos of the new arena as well as practice and office facilities, basketball courts and other amenities that will uplift the community surrounding the new arena.
The Clippers fans also heard from President of Basketball Operations Lawrence Frank and the great Jerry West regarding how the process of acquiring Paul George and Kawhi Leonard in the off-season, and how the process started last season.
The new arena in Inglewood is scheduled to break ground in 2021 and be completed in time for the 2024 season.
