THOUSAND OAKS, CA — Just one day before the start of the 2020 NFL Season, the Los Angeles and wide receiver Cooper Kupp have agreed on terms for an extension.
Kupp signed a three year, $48 million contract according to NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport on Saturday morning. Earlier in the week Kupp expressed that he remained focused on the season ahead.
“I’d love to be a Ram long term. I love it here,” Kupp said.
Just days after Jalen Ramsey was awarded his big contract, he celebrated the news of his teammate once the news was announced.
Ramsey returned the love that Kupp showed him the day his deal was announced.
Kupp is a pivotal member of this offense and is quarterback Jared Goff’s favorite target so it only made sense to keep these offense weapons together as long as possible. Kupp was entering his final season of his current deal.
He ranks in the top 10 in career with 33 red zone receptions, 233 receiving yards and 15 receiving touchdowns thus far.
Kupp finished the 2019 season with 94 receptions, 1,161 yards and 10 touchdowns.
The Rams are set to host the Dallas Cowboys on Sunday night at the brand new SoFi Stadium at 5:20 PM PT.
