LONDON, ENGLAND – The Los Angeles Rams made sure to shore up a 24-10 victory over the Cincinnati Bengals thanks to a terrific day from wide receiver Cooper Kupp. Kupp caught seven passes for 220 yards and touchdown on Sunday.

Quarterback Jared Goff handed off to Kupp, who handed off to receiver Robert Woods, who got the ball back to Goff, who then launched a 65-yard pass to Kupp for a touchdown. Kupp was untouchable to the Bengals defense, who failed at any attempt to neutralize him all game long.

We’ve been working that play for a while,” Kupp told reporters. “You never know when it’s going to get called. We rep plays for a few weeks and prepare for whenever it’s going to get dialed up. We got an interesting look from the defense.“

In the first half, Kupp caught five passes for 165 yards, where he was on pace for a record setting day. His 165 first-half receiving yards were the most by a Rams player since Marshall Faulk had 168 on Dec. 26, 1999, according to the team stats.

Goff looked even more comfortable in this game, not only did Kupp have a great day, Goff was able to spread the ball around where Todd Gurley scored a touchdown along with wide receiver Josh Reynolds who scored a 31-yard touchdown.

We have all the faith in our receiver room,” Kupp said. “That’s the way we’ve done things. It’s not just three or four guys you see in the game. It’s our whole room. We have a standard, and we judge ourselves within the walls of the Rams facility. We hold ourselves to that standard, challenge each other, and try not to point fingers outside of that, but say how we can do better.”

Despite losing Brandin Cooks to a concussion earlier in the game, Kupp and everyone else stepped up in a major way. This was the turning point the team needed after a few rocky games that resulted in loses.

Goff finished 17/31, 372 yards passing with two touchdowns, with a 90.4 QBR on the day.

The Rams are currently 5-3 and as they head into the bye week, they’ll enjoy but will be preparing to make a strong run in the next eight games towards the playoffs.
