LOS ANGELES – Since the acquisition of cornerback Jalen Ramsey two weeks ago, the Los Angeles Rams aren’t afraid to shake things up in order to put the best product out on the field even at the expense of a future hall of fame cornerback.

According to ESPN NFL insider Adam Schefter, the Rams would be open to trading Talib and any other veterans who are int he final years of their contracts, in order to have enough salary to a “player like Jalen Ramsey” to stay in Los Angeles. Schefter also reported that Talib turned down a trade offer last week.

Talib who is currently on IR with a rib injury will be a free agent at the end of this season, so it doesn’t make a lot of sense to trade him now. However other player may have more value like Michael Brockers, since Morgan Fox (defensive end) and Sebastian Joseph-Day (nose tackle) have taken most of the snaps and have been playing well as of late.

Ramsey has one year remaining on his rookie deal at at $13.7 million, but he wants a long-term deal with a team.
