DALLAS, TX — The Dallas Cowboys entered week three of the NFL season after dominating the New York Giants and New York Jets during the first two weeks. The Cowboys and Dak Prescott were the heavy favorites
to go into Glendale, Arizona, and get their third win of the season. However, the Arizona Cardinals humbled the Cowboys and delivered and took a 28-16 loss.

Dallas faced two notable challenges trying to overcome the absence of Tyron Smith, Zack Martin, and Tyler Biadasz, while the other challenge was red zone efficiency. The Dallas Cowboys could only convert
ten points on five trips inside the 20-yard line on Sunday afternoon.

After the game, Dak Prescott spoke to the media about the Cowboys’ struggles to convert in the red zone against the Cardinals.

When you look at this loss, we moved the ball up and down the field and just couldn’t score,” Prescott said. “We’ve gotta get back to the drawing board, and that starts with me making some throws and making some plays with my feet to try and get it done. We didn’t convert in the red zone. That’s the story of this game, period.

Despite missing some key pieces on the offensive and defensive side of the ball, Prescott shared that no one is making any excuses.

This was a humbling loss,” he said. “We had a lot of adversity this week. It wasn’t easy. No one is making excuses; we thought we had a great opportunity to come in here, even with the adversity, and get
a win, and we didn’t.”

The Dallas Cowboys also had an issue with penalties during Sunday’s match-up with the Cardinals, as they commented on 13 infractions for 107 yards on the offensive side of the ball. The infractions stalled numerous drives and some crucial moments.
