LOS ANGELES – Actor, writer and comedian Dave Chappelle received six Emmy nominations for his 2019 Netflix special “Sticks & Stones.”
Though it received mixed reviews by critics, yet audiences loved the special. It continued to show the brilliance and comedic timing of Chappelle, in a way only he could deliver a joke and message simultaneously.
He performed at The Tabernacle in Atlanta, Georgia and discussed cancel culture, R. Kelly, and the “MeToo” movement among other topics.
The special was directed by Stan Lathan and was produced by both Chappelle and Lathan.
