LONG BEACH, CA — Legendary producer Daz Dillinger from Tha Dogg Pound issued a challenge to two top notch producers in the industry on Thursday morning via his Instagram. Daz issued a challenge to producer Scott Storch and Grammy award winning producer Timbaland in a 20-song beat battle.
During the current coronavirus pandemic, beat battles across Instagram Live have grown very popular in the last month. Many have witnessed some fantastic beat battles between HitBoy (Grammy award winning producer of “Rack’s In The Middle” that featured Roddy Ricch and the late Nipsey Hussle), and Boi-1da (Grammy award winning producer for Drake “God’s Plan“), along with battles between Scott Storch and Manny Fresh most recently.
Now another legend in Daz wants the smoke as well, whether he could either Storch or Timbaland a run for their money and very much end up victorious in the battle. Daz learned from the best in Dr. Dre and Warren G.
Neither Timbaland or Storch have responded back to Daz’s challenge thus far so it will be interesting to see if this battle will take place. Note, Daz’s catalog is very deep with hits and great music from production, to vocals on songs.
