Due to COVID-19 the Black Widow movie was pushed back a year and after numerous postponements the movie is slated for a July 9th theatrical release as well as Disney Plus $30 premier access release. Essentially Disney is allowing you to choose whether or not to go to the movie theater or stay at home to watch the movie but either way you will have to pay to see this film on the big screen.

Disney has already tried this premier access and has had great success between the recent hit movie starring Emma Stone “Cruella” and “Raya and the Last Dragon” now Black Widow is going to be next in line. However, If you aren’t interested in paying a premium to see the movie and still don’t feel comfortable going to the theaters to see it, Disney has announce a plan that will place Black Widow in the Disney Plus subscription library starting as early as October of this year.

It’s a relatively quick turnaround time and while that may seem unprecedented, it definitely goes with the theme of everything that Marvel Studios and Disney went through during the unprecedented global pandemic. This will likely end up being the last Disney Plus premier access film for Marvel Studios as they prepare to launch “Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings” in September and exclusively in theaters.

Black Widow starring Scarlett Johansson is set to be made available for all Disney Plus subscribers on October 6th, 2021 without charge and the movie is expected to tie into the future of the Marvel Cinematic Universe including Falcon and the Winter Soldier and upcoming Disney Plus series Hawkeye.
