ANAHEIM, CA — After the release of Disney’s film “Wish,” the Disney theme parks have announced they will celebrate Asha and the movie in various ways, including limited-time merchandise and food items.
According to Disney, a new water short highlighting the story behind the wishing star from the film, “Wish,” will be presented ahead of “World of Color – Season of Light” at Disney California Adventure. When the lights dim around Paradise Bay, Asha and Star take guests on a journey set to the song “This Wish.” A spectacular light show starts the magical adventure show off, with the fountains synchronized to music, lasers, and sparkling effects that tell how stars can guide and keep your hope in believing anything can come true. In the Animation Academy, guests can learn to draw characters from “Wish.”
*A Valentino popcorn bucket and Star sipper are now available at select locations throughout the Disneyland Resort, while supplies last (limited to two per person, per transaction).
In celebration of “Wish,” Walt Disney World’s EPCOT Center Spaceship Earth will light up the sky with unique colors and lights featuring the brand-new song “I’m a Star” from the film. Walt Disney guests can visit World Amorette’s Patisserie at Disney Springs for the Wish Salted Caramel Hot Cocoa. Check out the Contempo Café at Disney’s Contemporary Resort for the Ready to Sparkle cookie. So Many Wishes drink found at various locations throughout the resort can be enjoyed by guests at the park.
Inside the Royal Banquet restaurant, guests are invited to attend a royal feast in a gallery of paintings portraying numerous Disney royal families and their famous chefs, with the opening of the Disneyland Hotel at Disneyland Paris. Of course, the overconfident King Magnifico from “Wish” will rightfully take his place among the cast of criminal portraits in the gallery for guests to view.
