ANAHEIM, CA — Disneyland and the imagineneers have revamped and re-imagined Mickey’s Toontown for all guest to witness and experience. Chip N Dale’s GADGETcoaster, another re-imagined coaster with new statues gives young and older guests an experience through the area that is sure to thrill anyone. Toontown also added the incredible Mickey and Minne’s Runaway Railway which gives guest an opportunity to experience a picnic adventure like never before.
The area also allows guests to have their own Mickey and Minnie style picnic located on a grassy area just a few feet from the entrance to Toontown. Guests can also take the magic of Toontown and Mickey and Minnie’s Runaway Railway with them in the “EngineEar Souvenirs” shop.
“We’ve reimagined play in this space to make it more exciting but also more relaxing with the green spaces and places for families to have a picnic and the space encourages kids to slide, spin, and go into the houses which is designed for all ages to enjoy,” Jeff Shaver-Moskowitz, EP of Mickey’s Toontown.
The shop has everything from conductor hats to a variety of shirts, and special designed mouse ears to commemorate the occasion. After visiting Toontown guests will work up quite an appetite, it’s a must they visit Cafe Daisy where items such as cheese pizza, tasty mini corn dog bites, along with a variety of flavorful drinks and other items are sure to keep your taste buds wanting more.
Guests of all ages will be able to visit Mickey’s house and Minnie’s house, Roger Rabbit’s Car Toon Spin, along with Donald’s Duck’s pond, which is a play area designed for the kids to have fun and enjoy the experience on the boat. Of course, Toontown would not be complete without Mickey and his friends walking around his town to interact with guests and provide photo opportunities.
This attraction is a must-see whenever guests visit Disneyland, just across from Fantasyland; Toontown is better and greater than anyone ever imagined. Toontown opened to guests on Sunday, March 19, 2023.
