LOS ANGELES, CA – After the Lakers loss to Phoenix in Game 4, Laker Nation has tough questions to answer. With Anthony Davis’ latest injury of a strained groin, is it time to question his durability? Since Davis has been in LA, he has had a string of injuries. Is Davis injury prone or just a victim of bad luck?

His fellow superstar, LeBron James, hardly misses games because of injury, and it’s making Davis stand out in a negative way.

We all know Davis is one of the best players in the league when healthy. However, the “when healthy” part is the issue. He spent a good part of the season on the injury list, about half of the year to be exact. Is Davis worth the trouble if he can’t stay on the court?

The Lakers knew what they were getting when they traded for him: a top-10 player in the league and potentially one of the best power forwards to ever play, but they knew he had an injury history.

Coming from the New Orleans Pelicans, he never played a full season and always had nagging injuries and can be considered injury-prone. Since dawning the purple and gold, we’ve seen similar results.

The Lakers won their 17th championship thanks in large part to Davis’ extraordinary play in the Bubble last year, but what’s next for him if he can’t stay on the court when they need him the most.

Can Davis play? Does LeBron have to go into Superman mode? Do the Lakers make it out of the first round?

All of these questions will soon be answered this Tuesday night when the Lakers go back to Phoenix for Game 5 in perhaps the biggest game of the season for the defending NBA champs.
