CARSON, CA — Although the Los Angeles Chargers lost to the Seattle Seahawks 23-15 on Saturday night at Dignity Health Sports Park, rookie Easton Stick made a strong case to be a part of that quarterback roster during the regular season.

Stick threw two touchdowns in the fourth quarter but the Bolts came up short. Stick entered the game in the third quarter, and threw his first career NFL touchdown pass to wide receiver Andre Patton in the fourth quarter. He went 12-of-16 for 82 yards to finish the game.

Stick is currently in a battle for that third spot with Cardale Jones. Chargers head coach Anthony Lynn said the battle could go down to the last game against the San Francisco 49ers before he makes a decision.

The former North Dakota State quarterback controls his own destiny, and made sure that he controlled the tempo on Saturday night when he was under center for the Bolts.

Stick is younger and more athletic at the QB position than Jones, though Jones has had a pretty solid preseason.
