HOLLYWOOD, CA — The 2022 Academy Awards have returned from the two-year public hiatus due to the COVID-19 pandemic, as the biggest night in film, television, and entertainment is celebrated with the most dynamic connection in the world of food has descended upon the 94th annual Oscars.
Legendary chef and food creator Wolfgang Puck has teamed up with culinary artist and entrepreneur Ghetto Gastro to create a collision of culture for those who will partake in an after event of epic food proportion. Culinary and creative trio Jon Gray, Pierre Serrao, and Lester Walker have earned their way to the top of the food world.
“It was amazing (that) Wolfgang brought us out and just makes sense, like he’s said movies unite, food unites and that’s what we’re here for… unite through the flavors,” Pierre Serrao of Ghetto Gastro said.
“It’s about the cultural collision bringing things that people don’t expect to go together actually together,” Jon Gray of Ghetto Gastro added.
Less than a year ago, they teamed up with Williams Sonoma to present their all-black waffle iron that sold out in less than three days. Now they continue to make moves as they are preparing a exquisite cuisine with the world renown chef Wolfgang Puck who personally selected them for this event.
“For me to see something different is always exciting, I always want to learn new things and you know I found out I learn new things from the young people than the old people like me,” Wolfgang Puck said.
The Oscars will broadcast live from Hollywood, California at 8PM ET/ 5PM PT on ABC, followed by the Governor’s Ball reception where the culinary styles of the Ghetto Gastro and Wolfgang Puck will be featured.
