LOS ANGELES — They say third times a charm, in the case of former St. Louis Rams wide receiver Isaac Bruce, who hopes that to be true.
For the third straight year, Bruce was named a finalist for induction into the Pro Football Hall of Fame.
Bruce’s NFL career spans a total of 16 years, 14 seasons with the Rams and the final two with the San Francisco 49ers. He caught 1,024 passes for 15,208 yards and 91 touchdowns. He was also the 1996 NFL pass receiving yardage leader.
Bruce will learn if he made the cut on Jan. 2, the night before Super Bowl LIII in Atlanta along with 14 other finalists. Only eight will be eligible for the ceremony in Canton, Ohio on August 3.
