TORRANCE, CA — Sneaker resell business revenue was valued at approximately $70 billion and was forecasted to reach $102 Billion by the year 2025.
Eight months removed from his Grand Opening in February, 21-year old sneaker phenom and owner of the Sole World franchise Derrick Starks has surpassed $1 Million in sneakers sales.
Symbolically, his accomplishment is a representation of the passion that stems from young African-American men, who have fallen in love with fashion and style. Black innovators like Starks are essentially buying back the block and rightfully offering a service that originated from Black culture.
Starks is employing other young people of color and allowing them to learn and grow their social media following and finances. Sole World is nothing short of an opportunity, all while exemplifying the ideal work-life balance for Gen-Z’s by hosting in-store NBA 2K game tournaments, one-on-one’s with customers, NBA players, and influencers.
With a total of two stores located in the Del Amo Fashion Center in Torrance, California, Sole World continues to serve as a cultural hub pioneered by a young man that started with $50 and a dream. He plans to expand Sole World in numerous locations outside of California. Often asking his 1.5 million followers on Tik Tok where he should open his next location, cities such as Detroit, New York and Miami have been hinted.
