ANAHEIM, CA — After months of anticipation for one of Disney’s classic film to be remade into a live action drama, the studio released the trailer at the annual D23 Expo on Friday afternoon. The film stars signer and actress Halle Bailey as the beloved “Ariel“, and is directed by Rob Marshall took a break from post-production under the sea to share more about the live-action version of the beloved tale.
The film also stars Melissa McCarthy as Ursula and Javier Bardem as Triton. It also features fan-favorite songs plus four new songs penned by Alan Menken and Lin-Manuel Miranda. This under the seas tail is sure to be a splash when it hits theaters sometime in Summer of 2023.
