LOS ANGELES, CA — Former Texas Tech head coach Kliff Kingsbury is ready to take on Los Angeles by way of USC this coming season. Though we have not heard from Kingsbury since he accepted the offensive coordinator position with the Trojans, he finally broke his silence on Monday, when he made an appearance on “The Dan Patrick Show”.

Kingsbury understood the tradition of USC and was excited at the opportunity to be on the Trojans coaching staff.

“They’re a 5-7 team and I think the sky is the limit. With talent like that, Sometimes when you have a season like that you can refocus and use it as motivation,” Kingsbury said.

He also revealed that he was close to joining the Los Angeles Rams and Sean McVay. Kingsbury said McVay is a great guy who treats people the right way, yet he felt like USC was just the best place for him.

Kingsbury mentioned how he’s fascinated with the NFL using college type schemes into their offenses and that he would consider an NFL head coaching job later.

He is focused on developing the load of talent USC has and helping bring the Trojans back to prominence.
