LOS ANGELES – Actress, host, and music artist Keke Palmer put all rumors to bed regarding her future with Disney/ABC and her television endeavors.
In a statement via her Instagram, Palmer addressed concerns and rumors of why her daytime show “Strahan, Sarah & Keke” was cancelled by ABC earlier this summer.
Many believed after Palmer was scene protesting in the streets of Los Angeles along with thousands of others against racism, social injustice, and police brutality, that it may have been too much for the network to stomach.
However, Palmer clarified her relationship with the network and looks forward to strengthening that relationship through other opportunities.
“If anything my speaking out showed the corporations I work with, how important my voice is and anyone who has a POV,” Palmer said.
“The reality is I was never signed to ‘SSK’, as one would a seasonal show. This business is dynamic and instead of thinking of me as a “season regular”, see me as a brand that works with a corporation Disney/ABC News and this particular show I am on no longer. That does not mean the relationship I have with them dies, that means it evolves.”
Palmer remains busy as she dropped a new single and video “SNACK” available on all streaming platforms. She also has her new Facebook series “Turnt Up With The Taylor’s”, her one woman multi-characters show.
At some point Palmer will return to daytime television, she’s a natural and connects with vast audiences well.
