LOS ANGELES — Former NBA star Joe Johnson joined The Big 3 and has not disappointed all season long. From making game winning four-pointers to dishing out winning assist for the Tri-State Triplets. The Big 3 MVP has made such an impact that he has gotten the attention of some notable NBA teams that include, Philadelphia SixersLos Angeles ClippersDenver NuggetsMilwaukee Bucks, and New Orleans Pelicans according to ESPN’s Marc Spears. Johnson spent 17 years in the NBA, making seven All-Star appearances and has made over $220 million in salary.

His outstanding Big 3 showcase, has reminded everyone including general managers that Johnson or “Iso Joe” has quite a bit left in the tank. His ability to be an isolation scorer has masterfully earned him the respect and recognition from the work he’s put in all season. With a half-court set in The Big 3, Johnson knows how to run the floor, get buckets, and make his teammates better all while capturing MVP honors for the league.

With this type of talent and experience for the 38-year old guard, Johnson makes perfect sense for any NBA team, who needs a player of his caliber without the heavy minutes. Johnson has proven that when one door closes, another will open. And once you walk through that open door, it’s up to you to show up and show out. Johnson accomplished that and hopefully he can end the grueling season a champion. Johnson leads The Big 3 with scoring 175 points, 31 assist and four 4 pointers this season. He is one who doesn’t take credit, he always gives it to those who work along  side of him like his head coach and former WNBA star Lisa Leslie who took home Coach of The Year honors.

“TheBIG3 is proud and humbled to have such legendary basketball players as part of the league. Lisa and Joe have put in the work each and every day this season and the results speak for themselves,” BIG3 co-founder Jeff Kwatinetz said. “Now we can’t wait to see if they take home the biggest prize against Killer 3’s on Sunday.”

Though workouts with NBA teams are scheduled, Johnson remains focused on finishing The Big 3 season a winner as he battles The Killer 3’s for the championship in Los Angeles at Staples Center on Sunday September 1 at 12Noon PT on CBS.

All eyes are on Johnson as he has the basketball world in his palm, waiting to see what his next moves will be.
