NEW YORK, NY — Apple TV+’s hit series The Morning Show has released an intense new trailer for climactic Season 4, confirming the series will return this fall to untangle the fallout from its shocking Season 3 cliffhanger. The trailer picks up almost two years after last season’s explosive finale and makes clear that the newsroom’s high-stakes drama is far from over.

At the center of the new footage of Bradley Jackson (Reese Witherspoon), where the trailer reveals she is not in prison. Viewers are reminded that Bradley turned herself in to the FBI after Season 3’s January 6 White House attack cover-up involving her brother Hal (James Tupper), but whatever consequences she faced have not ended her story. Instead, Bradley returns to a transformed media landscape, where a corporate merger and political division obscure every truth.

Season 4 finds the UBA-NBN merger complete and the newly combined news organization operating with “newfound responsibility,” the trailer says, while also hinting at some hidden plots and the nature of truth in today’s American society. With Alex (Jennifer Aniston) now at the helm after pulling off the most creative yet ingenious takeover of the most powerful network in media that ignited the UBA and NBN merger now known as “UBN”. Set against a backdrop of misinformation and corporate interests, the series raises the bold questions regarding trust in media personnel affiliated with the corporate giant.

The cast remains star-studded with Aniston and Witherspoon led an ensemble that includes Mark Duplass, Nestor Carbonell, Karen Pittman, Greta Lee, Nicole Beharie, and Jon Hamm. New and returning faces adds balance and unpredictability in Aaron Pierre, William Jackson Harper, Boyd Holbrook, Oscar Award winner Marion Cotillard, and Jeremy Irons are all listed to join Season 4.

Apple TV+ set the release for Season 4 on September 17 with one episode, then moves to a weekly episode schedule running through November 19.

The trailer leaves plenty unsaid — and that’s intentional. The Morning Show has covered the areas of power, fame, and journalistic responsibility, and the new trailer signals the series will continue to probe who gets to shape the news in an era of sensationalism over integrity. Who stands and who falls, yet who will be around to pick up the pieces if necessary?
