NEW YORK, NY — On a recent episode of the Scoop B Radio show, host Brandon “Scoop B” Robinson spoke about Dipset capo Jim Jones regarding the comments made by Cam’ron regarding Juelz Santana at one point could’ve been extensive as Shawn “Jay-Z” Carter in music.

“Juelz wasn’t trying to fill Jay-Z’s shoes in no way shape or form. In my eyes, he was the biggest artist. Period,” Jones told Robinson during the show. “We was never trying to fill anyone else’s shoes, so I didn’t like that comment. Because that’s not what we were about, especially from them two who tried so hard to be bigger than Jay in their whole career from the beginning of their career, before they got signed.”

Jones referred to an interview conducted by Million Dollars Worth Of Game hosts Wallo and Gillie The King when the two asked their guest Cam’ron and Mase where they thought Juelz Santana would be a musical giant if he had continued his elevation in the genre.

Juelz could’ve really been on Hov level” Mase told the Million Dollars Worth of Game host.

“Real talk he [Juelz Santana] had it, and he had it at a young age,” Cam’ron confirmed about his DipSet rhyming partner. “He could’ve been a leader on everything that is going on outside right now. He could’ve been these young n****s (rappers) fathers, uncles whatever you want to call it. The chicks liked him, he can rap and he had a fly element to him (which) is everything you needed to be that dude.

Cam’ron also revealed that he doesn’t know why Juelz Santana has yet to release new music recorded since his deal with him expired in 2008. Jim Jones has a different perspective and doesn’t quite understand why Cam’ron and Mase chose to speak on the situation.

They don’t know the whole story, so they should’ve put themselves in that category instead of speaking about Juelz because Juelz wasn’t trying to fill nobody’s shoes. He was talented more than most people than I’ve ever met in my life at that time, you know what I mean? And he could’ve been the biggest and he STILL could be one of the biggest stars now to this day,” Jones explained.

Jones and Santana were at the 2023 ComplexCon event in Southern California, where the two DipSet members could embark on new ventures together, including Santana releasing some new music.

He’s got some music and I know people have been waiting and some people are frustrated but, that’s what happens. You don’t know what demons anyone is up against. So you can’t put a rush on greatness. So whenever he’s ready to go, I’ll be behind him.

Jones also discussed various other topics with Robinson, including his other group ByrdGang and their project, ‘It Is What It Is‘ hosts Cam’ron and Mase, NBA legend Jamal Crawford, and more.
