LOS ANGELES, CA — Clippers superstar Kawhi Leonard appeared on Instagram Live for the first to speak with high school basketball star Mikey Williams regarding the Culture Jam album.
“Culture Jam project it’s just merging hip-hop and basketball together,” Leonard said. “Pretty much, coming from our background, it goes hand in hand so… we got NBA Young and RodWave dropping a single. It’s fire too.“
“It just merges basketball and music together. It’s always been something on my mind that I wanted to do, so it’ just something that can uplift our community. A portion of each stream is going to benefit The Mamba And Mambacita Foundation,” Leonard said on Tuesday night after a 105-100 win over the Toronto Raptors at Staples Center.
The Culture Jam album is scheduled to drop sometime in 2021. The single featuring NBA YoungBoy and RodWave is scheduled to drop on May 7.
