PHOENIX, AZ — Phoenix Suns forward Kevin Durant is one of the most prolific scorers in the NBA, and now has scored a major bucket with the news of a newly signed lifetime Nike deal.
“When I first signed with Nike, I couldn’t have dreamed of how far we’d go in this partnership. We’ve done amazing work creatively and philanthropically,” Durant said in a post on Boardroom. “We’ve done amazing work creatively and philanthropically. We’ve traveled the world together and built a business that will now last forever. I’m excited for the future and honored to be in rare company with this deal.“
Durant has been with Nike since 2007, and looks forward to creating more shoe and apparel concepts with the brand. Nike is also committed to continue thiers efforts with Durant that extend off the court in areas such as, philanthropy, and the Kevin Durant Charity Foundation. Durant is the third Nike athlete to sign a lifetime deal along with Lebron James and Michael Jordan.
“As one of the best basketball players in the world, Kevin Durant has been an important part of the Nike family for the past 16 years,” Nike’s EVP of Global Marketing, John Slusher said.
Durant and the Suns prepare for their second round playoff match up against the Denver Nuggets on Saturday April 29.
