EL SEGUNDO, CA – Lakers forward Kyle Kuzma will continued to be sidelined with a right foot injury until at least mid-October.
With an MRI scheduled after the team returns from China on October 13, Kuzma is still scheduled to travel with the team for preseason games.
Kuzma injured his foot during Team USA workouts this past summer. He is a valuable member of the Lakers franchise as he was the piece the team refused to release in any trades with the Pelicans for Anthony Davis. Kuzma is a rising star and could fit in nicely this season with LeBron James and Davis.
Last season, Kuzma averaged 18.7 ppg and 5.5 rpg, and the sky is the limit for this young player. His goals are simple, get healthy, make an all-star team and hopefully help this franchise elevate their 17th NBA championship.
The Lakers will open up Training Camp on Saturday at the UCLA Health Training Facility.
