LOS ANGELES – Lakers guard Quinn Cook came off an incredible game against the Oklahoma City Thunder on Saturday night to make sure he gave his time and efforts to making the 2nd Annual California Strong Softball event a success.
Cook along with teammate Troy Daniels showed to play in the celebrity softball game.
“I’m just here to give back, this is a tremendous thing they have going on here,” Cook said. “Once I heard about it, I just wanted to give my time to a great cause like this, and I’m so fortunate they invited me out. I’ll be here anytime they need me.”
Cook has always had a giving heart and connected with a lot of people in attendance by signing autographs and talking with other athletes and entertainers on the field.
California Strong organization has raised over $3 million to give back to those affected by wildfires and the mass shooting at Borderline Bar and Grill in Thousand Oaks in 2018.
Former Lakers Robert Horry and Matt Barnes were in attendance and played in the celebrity softball game.
