EL SEGUNDO, CA — On Monday morning an announcement was made that the 17 time World Champion Los Angeles Lakers will release a nine-part docuseries on the historic franchise through HULU in 2022.

The series will cover the last 40 years of Lakers history with historic interviews from members of the Buss family, along with former Laker head coaches and players that include Pat Riley, Phil Jackson, Magic Johnson, Shaquille O’Neal and host of others.

When Dr. Buss bought the Lakers in 1979, he sat alone at center court of the Forum and thought of all of the possibilities. I am thrilled that the true story of the Lakers will finally be shared with the world — and that we are in such capable hands with Hulu and Antoine (Fuqua), a director who’s story telling I’ve admired for years,” Lakers CEO Jeanie Buss said.

The series will also cover the Shaq and Kobe Bryant years, the Kobe Bryant later years until the 2020 Championship lead by Lebron James and Anthony Davis.
