LAS VEGAS, NV — The Las Vegas Aces waived guard Deja Kelly, a 5-foot-8 guard who was recently added to the team. Kelly, who played collegiately at Oregon, was signed as an undrafted free agent and was invited to the Aces training camp.
Her determination and perseverance have marked Kelly’s journey to the professional level. Although she entered the WNBA as an undrafted rookie, her invitation to training camp allowed her to showcase her skills at the highest level of women’s basketball.
Throughout the offseason and training camp, Kelly worked to earn her spot on the roster. However, despite her efforts, the team ultimately decided to waive her as they finalized their roster for the upcoming season.
While with the Aces, Kelly competed with resilience and showcased her potential as a baller who could hold her own in the league. Her journey will undoubtedly continue as she seeks new opportunities within the WNBA and looks to receive calls from other teams moving forward.
