LAS VEGAS– Sin City is a growing sports metropolis, with the Raiders, UNLV, and the A’s relocating from Oakland, California. The city’s first championship came at the hands of the WNBA’s Las Vegas Aces, and later, the Golden Knights lifted a Stanley Cup. Raiders owner Mark Davis purchased the Aces, hired Nikki Fargas to change the basketball culture in Sin City, and helped him with his vision to be the best franchise in the WNBA. Davis also built a state-of-the-art practice facility across from the Raiders facility for the players.
Fargas has successfully built the proper organization, hired a great head coach in Becky Hammon, and installed a fan base that has sold out Michelob Ultra Arena numerous times. The face that runs the place is two-time Defensive Player of the Year, two-time WNBA champion, and 2023 WNBA Finals MVP A’ja Wilson.
In an exclusive with Nitecast Media, Fargas, discussed her involvement with elevating basketball culture, continuing to improve the vision for the franchise, A’ja Wilson not getting the respect she deserves, Candace Parker returning and much more.
