LOS ANGELES — Marvel Television fans have exciting news to look forward to, as Marvel executive Brad Winderbaum has revealed plans for annual season releases of the highly anticipated animated series “X-Men ’97” and “Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man.” These updates, along with insights into the future of “Marvel Zombies,” offer a glimpse into the evolving landscape of Marvel’s animated universe.

Exciting about the next few years is that we’re gonna get subsequent seasons of ‘X-Men 97’ and ‘Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man’ on an annual cadence,” Winderbaum told Discussing Film. “So every year there’ll be a new season and we can map out a longer arc to those stories.” This annual release schedule promises a consistent stream of content for fans eager to dive deeper into these beloved characters and storylines.

While “Marvel Zombies” will be a ‘single standalone epic adventure’, Winderbaum has a vision for more if the show does well.

In terms of Marvel Zombies, this is like a single, standalone epic adventure that Brian and I want to make more of. I mean, this lore is incredibly rich, and there are stories that we talk about all the time. We know where they are, and they just didn’t align with this particular story, but there are more stories, too. However, it’s going to require people to watch this series. In success, I’ll have an opportunity to make more.

The potential for future installments hinges on the success and viewership of the current project.
Adding to the excitement, Winderbaum confirmed that Season 3 of ‘X-Men ’97’ is on its way, though specific release dates have yet to be announced.
