NEW YORK CITY, NY — Marvel Studios will be launching another important Disney+ series to go to their collection in the form of She-Hulk. With She-Hulk comes a star studded cast headlined by Mark Ruffalo (Bruce Banner), Tatiana Maslany (She-Hulk), Tim Roth (Abomination), Renée Elise Goldsberry (Amelia) and now we have news according to theilluminerdi.com that The Good Place star Jameela Jamil has joined the cast as villain Titania.
Titania is a Marvel Comics super villain that was first introduced in Secret Wars #3 in July of 1984. The alter ego of Titania is Mary MacPherran originally created by Jim Shooter and Mike Zeck. The character is known for it’s superhuman strength and stamina. We don’t know exactly what Titania’s role will be in all of this or how she shows up but with Abomination returning from the 2008 Hulk film, there’s a chance the two could team up.
Regardless of all of that this is a huge cast addition to the MCU family and adds more relevancy to the She-Hulk project. As we know, in January of last year the film rights for the Hulk reverted back to Marvel Studios and that is why we had to wait as long as we have to visit the Hulk portion of the universe. Of course, included in that Hulk deal, Namor was also reverted back and cast for the upcoming Black Panther film in 2022.
As we get closer to 2022 we should get more clarity on this series and how it will be approached but for now we have to feel good about Marvel Studios casting efforts in this project. She-Hulk is currently filming in Los Angeles and Atlanta and will wrap the up in August. The series is confirmed to have ten episodes created by Jessica Gao with run times of 30 minutes per each episode. As of right now it’s slated to be a comedy, legal drama and superhero show as far as genre goes.
