NASHVILLE, TN – Suffering their third straight loss thanks in part to a goal line fumble late in the fourth quarter by running back Melvin Gordon against the Titans, the Chargers must now find a way to get back in the win column and feeling sorry for themselves is not the motto for this squad.

You don’t get one yard you don’t deserve to win the dam game, and that’s just the way it is. We let it slip out of our hands,” Chargers head coach Anthony Lynn said.

The Chargers had four chances to score on that drive and when they came up short, the emotions from Gordon showed in a big way on the sidelines.

It hurts just as bad if you’re the guy with the ball in your hand or you don’t. So many times I’ve been successful for the most part (from the 1-yard line), but it got me today,” Gordon said.

Despite the heartbreaking loss, the Bolts remain optimistic that they can still turn the season around.

I told our players that one yard can bring us together, or tear us apart. And with the character that we have in that locker room, I do believe this group will rally. And we’ll fight,” Lynn said.

Austin Ekeler had a golden opportunity to secure the win, however he didn’t reach over the goal line to get the touchdown, however no one person is to blame for the loss.

I didn’t want to reach just because I’ve learned my lesson about reaching at the 1,” Ekeler explained.

No one player can blamed for the loss, yes many can look at Gordon or Ekeler, yet eyes can be focused on why Philip Rivers didn’t go for a quarterback sneak, or the play calling on that last drive. The Chargers must put that loss aside on focus this week on their next opponent in the Chicago Bears on Sunday.

Defensive end Joey Bosa is already focused on turning the page and getting sharp for the team’s trip to Chicago on Sunday.

“I’m going to come in and work my ass off for the rest of the season. I can’t control anybody else. I know we have a lot of guys that want to win, and we’ll see who’s with me on Monday. You can find out who wants it pretty quick after a game like that,” Bosa said.

*The Chargers lost left guard Forrest Lamp for the rest of the season due to a broken fibula sustained in the second quarter of Sunday’s loss to the Tennessee Titans.
