This week’s Monday Night Raw was on point. Advancing story lines, high profile matchups, and great in-ring work were the keys to Raw.
The show opened with Kofi Kingston and Drew McIntyre. They were absolutely tearing the house down for a 30-minute instant classic until Bobby Lashley showed up. His interference in the match caused a disqualification.
This could be leading to a three-way match at “Hell In A Cell” and if it does the WWE Universe will be treated with a show.
There was some progression in the women’s division on Monday night. Nikki Cross and Charlotte Flair both picked up wins in their respective matches. As long as what they’re doing leads to Rhea Ripley facing Flair at “Hell In A Cell,” that’s the matchup that makes the most sense going forward. Both of these women are some of the best to ever do it and need a true classic to set the tone for the rivalry.
Quite frankly, the match of the night belonged to Riddle and Xavier Woods. These two showed so much chemistry in the ring. This is a great way to build the tag-team dues between Randy Orton and Riddle vs The New Day.
Having this match allowed them to shine on their own. Riddle, a former US Champ, was pushed to the absolute limit by Woods.
Woods seemed to have the match under control until Riddle stole a page out of Orton’s playbook and nailed him with an RKO out of nowhere securing the victory for his team.
