LOS ANGELES — On Monday, Nicole Young filed for divorce from iconic music producer and Beats By Dre co-founder Dr. Dre citing irreconcilable differences. The two had been married for 24-years and have two children together in Truly and Truice.
Nicole Young (50), and Dr. Dre born Andre Young (55), met and married on May 25, 1996 in Hawaii. Dre was the co-founder of Death Row Records (that sparked the careers of Snoop Dogg, Tha Dogg Pound, and home for the late 2Pac), before departing to start his own label Aftermath Entertainment in 1996 with distribution with Interscope founder Jimmy Iovine.
Young (50) is an attorney and is seeking spousal support from her soon to be ex-husband. Dre is worth over an estimated $800 million after he and Iovine created and later sold the Beats By Dre empire to Apple for $3.2 Billion in 2014. He is one of the wealthiest men in the rap game today. The soon to be ex-couple, according to reports did not sign a prenuptial agreement, which could be problematic for Dre financially.
