EUGENE, OR– After two loses this season at the hands of Utah and Stanford, the Oregon Ducks made sure they took care of business on the field in the Civil War classic against rival Oregon State 38-29 at Autzen Stadium on Saturday.
Ducks wide receiver Devon Williams finished with six catches for 110 yards and a touchdown in the team’s victory. Williams is the first receiver with a 100-yard game this season and is his second 100 yard game against Oregon State dating back to last season.
“I’m grateful for it, but at the same time, just got to keep it moving,” Williams said.
The Ducks keep it moving towards the Pac-12 Championship against the Utah Utes, a team that knocked the Ducks out of the College Football Playoff picture several weeks ago.
The Utes and the Ducks will meet for the second time in the Pac-12 Championship since 2019 at Levi’s Stadium in Santa Clara. Oregon have been on the winning end of the Pac-12 championships the last three years. The most recent game was against USC during a short 2020 season.
“All in all, just proud of our guys for taking control of the game in the most critical moments, and earning an opportunity to play a 13th game,” Ducks head coach Mario Cristobal.
The Utes will play in their third Pac-12 championship in four years.
“We’ve been in two Pac-12 championship games and we’ve lost both of them, so we’ve got a good mindset in knowing what it takes,” Utes wide receiver Britain Covey said.
The Pac-12 Championship will be held at Allegiant Stadium on Friday Dec 3 in Las Vegas at 5PM PT on ABC.
