LOS ANGELES – Patrick Beverley help lead the comeback charge in the fourth quarter and helped propel the Clippers over the Boston Celtics in overtime 107-104.

Beverley finished with 14 points and 16 rebounds on 4-of-7 shooting from behind the arc in 41 minutes of work. At various points in the game Beverley connected on shot opportunities due to the Celtics defense focus on attempting to nullify Kawhi Leonard, Paul George and Lou Williams throughout the game.

The Clippers shot almost 42% from the floor and out shot the Celtics as Los Angeles combined for seven more threes and free throws than Boston. Beverley continued to be a strong defensive presence and provide that defensive intensity the Clippers needed down the stretch. Leonard made a key block on Kemba Walker that secured the win that pushed the Clippers to a 9-1 record at home.

Our backs were against the wall, and we came out swinging,” Beverley told ESPN after the game.

Leonard and George finally played together for the first time this season and combined for 42 points and 11 rebounds in the win. Lou Williams added 27 points on 10-for-21 shooting.

Beverley and the Clippers look to avenge the loss last week against the Houston Rockets on Friday night at 7:30PM at Staples Center.
