The new drama “Bel-Air” is set to stream on Peacock starting February 13. This series will be an hour-long with a more serious tone describing the transition a young Will (portrayed by Jabari Banks) after he fires a gun in the air and is arrested by police in his West Philadelphia neighborhood.

Will’s reason for escaping to Bel-Air is due to someone powerful wanting him dead. Will moves in with family that includes Carlton Banks (previously played by Alfonso Ribeiro) now played by Olly Sholotan. Sholotan’s portrayal of Carlton is not as nerdy and more athletically gifted in lacrosse.

Uncle Phil aka Philip Banks (previously portrayed by the late legendary actor James Avery), is now played by Adrian Holmes, and Aunt Viv is played by Cassandra Freeman. The show also features the characters Hilary, played by Coco Jones, and Ashley, played by Akira Akbar.

Will deals with a new environment that provides second chances while navigating the conflicts and biases of those far different from the place he’s known most of his life.
