ANAHEIM, CA – After a tough 15 inning 7-6 loss to the Boston Red Sox, the Angels bounced back on Saturday night in dominate fashion for a 10-4 win due to a 3-run Albert Pujols home run.
Pujols now has 3,184 career hits which ties Cal Ripken Jr. for 14th all-time. Pujols also his 20th home run of the season and joins Hank Aaron, Barry Bonds, Frank Robinson and Willie Mays as the only players with at least 17 seasons of 20 + home runs.
He also connected on his 656th career home run in the bottom of the eight inning, that scored Mike Trout and Brian Goodwin.
Earlier, Trout stole his 200th base and became the youngest player at 28 years old to have 200 homers and 200 steals in his career.
