SEATTLE, WA – The Los Angeles Rams survived injury and early missed scoring opportunities in Seattle, that allowed the Rams a 33-31 victory over the Seahawks at Century Link Field.

A gutsy 4th-and-1 call by head coach Sean McVay with 1:39 remaining in the final quarter, as quarterback Jared Goff launched forward for two yards that sealed the victory for the Rams.

It was all riding on that one play and we got a really, really good jump on them up front,” Goff told reporters.

After a missed extra point by kicker Cairo Santos earlier in the fourth quarter, Santos redeemed himself when he made a 39-yard field goal that gave L.A. the 33-31 lead with approximately six minutes remaining.

Enough time for Seahawks quarterback Russell Wilson to mount a comeback. After a slew of penalties on the drive and Cory Littleton put pressure on Wilson on a crucial third down, Seattle was forced to punt and never saw the ball again.

Although the Rams gutted out a victory they didn’t leave Seattle without casualties. Late in the second quarter, Goff’s two biggest targets Cooper Kupp and Brandin Cooks suffered concussions and did not return.

That allowed Josh Reynolds, Tyler Higbee and Gerald Everett to step up big time, however the offense leaned consistently on Todd Gurley and wide receiver Robert Woods all game.

Gurley finished the day with three touchdowns and Woods finished with five catches for 92 yards.

You need to know that when these games come around, can you finish. That’s what we did today,” Gurley said.

Rams quarterback Jared Goff finished with 321 yards passing and a touchdown with two interceptions.

Seahawks’ quarterback Russell Wilson threw for three touchdowns on 198 yards passing in the loss.

The Rams (5-0) travel to the Mile High city to take on the Denver Broncos next Sunday. L.A. is 2-0 against AFC West opponents this season.

EXTRA POINT:

DT Ndamkong Suh sacked Russell Wilson, which gave him 3 total sacks on the season. Suh now has 54.5 career sacks.
